1. VisaGeneral InformationForeign citizens, except students from visa-free countries, are required to obtain a
student visa (category “S”) to study in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Visa applications are processed online through the official
e-VISA portal.
After arrival, students must complete enrollment procedures and finalize visa processing through the university.
Initial Student VisaThe initial student visa is issued for
3 months and serves as an entry visa for arrival in the country.
After arrival in Kyrgyzstan, official enrollment at the university, and signing a study agreement, the visa is extended for up to
1 year.

- Electronic photo (3×4 cm, white background)
- Official visa invitation issued by the university
Visa ExtensionStudent visas are extended on an annual basis.
Required documents:- Valid passport
- Copy of the study contract
- 2 photos (3×4 cm, white background)
- Tuition fee payment confirmation
- Accommodation certificate (dormitory or rental housing)
- Notarized consent from landlord (if living off-campus)
Applications must be submitted
at least 30 days before the visa expiration date.
Types of Visa Extension- Single-entry visa — allows one entry and exit
- Multiple-entry visa — allows unlimited entry and exit during validity period
Work During StudiesStudents holding a student visa (category “S”) are
not allowed to work during their studies.
Violation of visa regulations may result in fines, administrative penalties, or deportation.
2. RegistrationAll international students must complete registration at their place of residence after entering the Kyrgyz Republic.
The University Visa Office
assists and supports students throughout the registration process, including document preparation and submission.
Registration DeadlinesRegistration deadlines depend on the student’s nationality and may range from
3 to 30 calendar days from the date of border entry.
For students from certain countries (including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and several countries in Asia and the Middle East), registration is usually required
immediately after arrival, so students are strongly advised to contact the Visa Office without delay.
