The JAIU Library maintains a rich and ever-growing collection of academic literature specifically curated to support medical education at the highest level.

1. Physical Collection — Over 5,000 Titles: Our shelves hold more than 5,000 carefully selected medical books and academic literature, spanning subjects including Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine, and many more. The collection also includes general science literature, research methodology references, and interdisciplinary academic works in English, Russian, and Kyrgyz — making it relevant and accessible to our entire student community.
2. E-Library — Over 20,000 Online Books & Resources: In the digital age, access to knowledge must be unlimited. Through our integrated E-Library portal (archive.jaiu.kg/e-library), registered students and faculty can access a vast digital collection of more than 20,000 e-books, online journals, and academic databases. This includes international medical textbooks, peer-reviewed research articles, clinical case studies, and preparation materials for global licensing examinations. The E-Library is accessible from anywhere — on campus, in hostels, or remotely — providing true 24/7 access to the world's medical knowledge.

JAIU understands that every student studies differently. That is why we offer three dedicated library spaces spread across our campus in Jalal-Abad's Student Town, collectively capable of accommodating more than 200 students at the same time.

Each library space is thoughtfully organized to serve different study needs — quiet individual reading zones, collaborative group study areas, and faculty research corners. All three spaces are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, organization, and comfort, providing the calm, focused environment that serious academic study demands.

We take the safety and academic success of our female students seriously. JAIU operates a dedicated 24-hour Girls' Library — a secure, well-lit, and comfortable space available around the clock, every day of the year. Female students can study at any hour of the night without concern for safety or access, knowing that a welcoming and well-resourced environment is always open to them.

This initiative reflects JAIU's commitment to equal academic opportunity and the well-being of all students, regardless of the time they prefer to study.

Students are not limited to reading within the library walls. The JAIU Library operates a convenient home borrowing system that allows registered students to borrow physical books and take them home for up to two weeks at a time. At the end of the lending period, books can be easily renewed and re-registered, giving students continued access to the resources they need for extended study periods, exam preparation, or research projects.

This flexible lending policy ensures that every student has the materials they need — whether they are studying in the library, in their hostel room, or anywhere on campus.

All JAIU library spaces are equipped with high-speed, complimentary Wi-Fi, allowing students to seamlessly access the E-Library, conduct online research, attend virtual seminars, or study using digital tools — all without any additional cost. The library environment is deliberately maintained as a focused, quiet, and welcoming academic space, with proper lighting, ventilation, comfortable seating, and organized shelving that makes finding resources effortless.

The library experience at JAIU does not end when you walk back to your hostel. Every student hostel on the JAIU campus is equipped with its own dedicated study room, providing a quiet and comfortable space for students to continue their academic work after library hours or whenever they prefer to study close to home. These hostel study rooms are furnished with tables, chairs, and lighting designed specifically for reading and studying, ensuring that no student ever lacks a proper place to learn.
