Interuniversity Medical Olympiad Held at JAIU
May 3, 2025On April 30, 2025, the International University in Jalal-Abad hosted an informational meeting attended by representatives of the Department of Internal Affairs (UVD) and a delegation from the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan (Muftiyat), who arrived from Bishkek.
The purpose of the meeting was to inform students—especially international students—about recent legislative changes in the Kyrgyz Republic, and to address matters related to public safety, order, and peaceful coexistence in a multicultural society.
The Internal Affairs Department was represented by:
• Bekzhan Tashpolotovich Azhykulov
• Urmatbek Mukhtarovich Kaldarov
• Ulukbek Rezhavalievich Sulaymanov
The Muftiyat was represented by:
• Nurbek Zhanarbekovich Kaysarbayev
During the session, representatives of the Muftiyat provided a detailed explanation of new legal provisions, in particular the regulation prohibiting the covering of one’s face in public spaces. It was emphasized that this law applies to all individuals residing in the Kyrgyz Republic—both citizens and foreign nationals—and pertains equally to men and women. The regulation is intended to ensure public safety and promote openness in social interactions.
The representatives of the Internal Affairs Department also stressed the importance of respecting national laws and maintaining public order. In light of the ongoing instability and tensions occurring beyond the borders of Kyrgyzstan, it was underscored that such external conflicts should not affect the peaceful and respectful atmosphere within the country. Kyrgyzstan continues to uphold the values of harmony, tolerance, and mutual understanding among all peoples and communities.
The university administration extends its sincere appreciation to the visiting officials for their valuable insights and encourages all students to observe the laws of the Kyrgyz Republic, respect the traditions of the host country, and contribute to a spirit of unity and respect within the academic environment.
