Jalal-Abad International University (JAIU), Kyrgyz Republic, and the University of Khorfakkan (UKF), Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen international academic cooperation and foster joint initiatives in education, science, and innovation.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Mohammad Shoaib Shahid Nur Muhammad, President of JAIU, and His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, President of UKF.

The document outlines the following key areas of cooperation:

• Joint projects in medical education, medical science, and healthcare;
• Organization of academic events such as conferences, symposiums, seminars, trainings, and academic schools;
• Faculty and expert exchanges for lectures and sharing of best practices;
• Student mobility programs, including specialized exchanges in Information Technology;
• Joint academic research initiatives, including publication activity, coordination between researchers, and development of scientific articles and academic journals;
• Collaboration in library development and resource sharing;
• Participation in international grants and competitive academic programs.

This Memorandum does not create any mutual financial obligations and will be implemented through separate agreements for each joint initiative.

The signing of the MoU was preceded by an official visit to UKF by a JAIU delegation, led by Dr. Nurgul Adylgazievna Sadyrova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Deepak Chaulagain, Vice-Rector for International Relations and Investments. The visit included extensive discussions on academic collaboration and institutional development.
