Simulation Center and OSCE/OSPE Exams

Jalal-Abad International University

About the Simulation Center

The Simulation Center of Jalal-Abad International University is a core element of practical training for medical faculty students and serves as the foundation for conducting Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCE) and Objective Structured Practical Examinations (OSPE). The center provides a safe learning environment where students practice clinical skills before working with real patients.

Practical Training

Practical skills are developed in specialized simulation centers, phantom laboratories, and at the university's clinical bases. The educational process is structured in stages: from mastering basic communication and patient care skills in the early years to performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, analyzing clinical cases, and working as a physician's assistant under teacher supervision in the senior years.

70% Simulation Component of Education

The training structure includes a strong simulation component: up to 70 percent of study time is dedicated to practical work, including training on phantoms, standardized patients, simulation scenarios, and station-based OSCE/OSPE exams. This allows for objective assessment of clinical competencies, communication skills, and readiness to work in real clinical environments.

Innovative Technologies

The Simulation Center is actively developing: the university is expanding its simulation equipment fleet, implementing digital simulations, VR/AR elements, and interactive learning formats. This integration of innovative technologies makes student training more visual, safe, and aligned with international standards of medical education.

Education Quality Assurance

The use of OSCE/OSPE in combination with the eBilim system, testing, and ongoing monitoring ensures transparent and valid assessment of educational achievements and serves as an important tool for guaranteeing the quality of training for future physicians.
