Main Directions of Scientific Work

The research activity of JAIU covers a wide range of fields, with particular attention given to fundamental and applied research in medicine, pedagogy, and IT technologies.

The priority areas of scientific activity include:

• pedagogy and teaching methods of humanities, including for international students;
• morphology, public health, and epidemiology — studying the patterns of disease development and spread, preventive measures, and factors affecting population health;
• clinical research conducted in cooperation with leading medical institutions of the country, aimed at developing and implementing modern methods of diagnosing, treating, and preventing infectious and non-infectious diseases.

Organization and Coordination of Scientific Work

The coordination of scientific activity at JAIU is carried out by the Vice-Rector for Science, State Language, and Social Work, as well as by the dean’s offices and departments. Each structural unit develops its own research plan approved by the Academic Council of the university. The work is conducted within internal and external grant projects, as well as in cooperation with scientific centers and universities of Kyrgyzstan and other countries.

The university has a mentoring system in which experienced teachers supervise student research projects, helping them develop skills in scientific analysis, critical thinking, and academic writing.

Publication Activity and International Integration

One of the indicators of effective scientific activity is the publication activity of the staff. To strengthen its scientific standing and international presence, since 2025 the university has been publishing its own peer-reviewed journal — the “Eurasian Journal of Scientific and Multidisciplinary Research,” which features scientific works of faculty members, postgraduate students, and invited researchers from various countries. This journal serves as a platform for sharing experience and disseminating advanced knowledge in the fields of medical and humanitarian sciences.

JAIU provides financial support to its staff for publishing in international scientific journals, which contributes to enhancing their scientific qualifications and strengthening the university’s reputation on the global stage.

To develop a research culture and improve the qualifications of faculty members, the university regularly conducts scientific and educational events, including:
