On June 20, 2026, the scientific and practical conference “Chatkal: History, Culture, Natural Heritage and Development Prospects” was held in Kanysh-Kyya village, the administrative center of Chatkal District. The event was dedicated to the district’s 90th anniversary.
Faculty members of the Department of Humanities and Natural Sciences at Jalal-Abad International University actively participated in the conference.
During the plenary session, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Dinara Emenovna Kanetova and Candidate of Historical Sciences Venera Erkinbekovna Anarbekova delivered research presentations. Their reports addressed current issues in their respective academic fields, the history and cultural values of the region, and its prospects for sustainable development.
The presentations attracted considerable interest from the participants and provided a foundation for a meaningful scientific discussion.
The conference brought together researchers, practitioners, and representatives of educational institutions, including Osh State University, I. K. Akhunbaev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy, K. Sh. Toktomamatov International University, and other organizations.
The participants discussed important aspects of the region’s socioeconomic development, the rational use of natural resources, and modern approaches to conducting scientific research.
Participation in events of this level contributes to the development of research potential, the strengthening of interuniversity cooperation, and the implementation of innovative solutions in practice.
Following the conference, a resolution was adopted and recommendations were developed to support further scientific research and strengthen cooperation between science and industry in Chatkal District.
