January 28, 2026Today, as part of the professional development program for the faculty members of JAIU departments, the Vice-Rector for Quality Assurance and Clinical Affairs conducted a training session on the topic:
“Testology. Development of Multiple-Choice Tests (MCQ). Psychometrics.”During the training, instructors carried out expert reviews of test items from their own assessment and evaluation funds (AEF).Testology is an interdisciplinary science focused on the development of high-quality, scientifically grounded measurement and diagnostic assessment tools.Completing test tasks represents an intellectual activity carried out under regulated and controlled conditions. The objectivity of test results depends on the quality of test items; therefore, a comprehensive set of requirements must be considered when developing test tasks. Test items are prepared by subject specialists and reviewed by higher-ranking experts.Through testing, it is possible to assess not only knowledge, but also communicative skills, practical competencies, and higher-order cognitive abilities.Faculty members received assignments for independent preparation. The training sessions will continue. It should be noted that G.S. Tashieva is a national expert and trainer in the field of testology.
