Jalal-Abad International University (JAIU) Signs Memoranda of Understanding with Caribbean Medical Universities
March 12, 2026Dipak Chaulagain, Vice Rector for International Relations at Jalal-Abad International University and Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery, has successfully published a scientific article titled “Machine learning-based predictive models versus traditional risk scores in hemodialysis patients with comorbid urolithiasis.”
The article has been published in the international peer-reviewed journal Precision Medical Sciences, which is indexed in the Web of Science database and published by Wiley. The journal focuses on innovative research in precision medicine and advanced clinical approaches.
This study explores the application of machine learning–based predictive models and compares them with traditional clinical risk scoring systems for patients undergoing hemodialysis who also have urolithiasis (kidney stones). Machine learning approaches are increasingly used in medical research because they can analyze complex clinical data and improve prediction of patient outcomes, potentially enabling more personalized and effective treatment strategies.
The publication highlights the growing importance of artificial intelligence and data-driven methods in modern healthcare and reflects the university’s commitment to promoting high-quality research and international scientific collaboration.
