On March 31, 2026, a seminar entitled “Review of the Requirements and Criteria Established by the HAC Regulations” was held at Jalal-Abad International University with the participation of the entire academic staff of JAIU. The speaker at the seminar was Zulfiya Atamyrzaevna Asilova, Vice-Rector for Science, State Language, and Social Affairs.

During the event, a detailed analysis was presented of the changes related to the reform of the national system of attestation of highly qualified scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Within the framework of the seminar, the participants became acquainted with the new regulations on the Higher Attestation Commission under the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovations of the Kyrgyz Republic, dissertation councils, the procedure for awarding academic degrees, and the conferment of academic titles. Particular attention was paid to the updated requirements for the topics of dissertation research, the publication activity of applicants, the procedures for public discussion of dissertations, as well as the issues of pre-defense and the organization of public defense.

The holding of this seminar is of great importance for the academic staff, young researchers, degree seekers, and academic supervisors of the university, as it contributes to timely familiarization with the current HAC requirements and to improving the quality of research activities at the university.
