March 11, 2026Jalal-Abad International University (JAIU), Kyrgyz Republic, has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with two medical universities in the Caribbean to strengthen international academic cooperation and promote collaborative opportunities in medical education and research.
The agreements were signed with John F. Kennedy University School of Medicine, Curaçao, and Caribbean Medical University, Curaçao. These partnerships mark an important step in expanding JAIU’s global academic network and fostering international collaboration in the field of medical science.
Under the terms of the Memoranda of Understanding, the institutions will cooperate in several key areas, including:
• Development of joint research projects in medical education and healthcare sciences
• Organization of academic events such as conferences, seminars, symposiums, and training programs
• Exchange of faculty members and specialists for lectures and sharing of best practices
• Student and young doctor mobility programs to enhance international exposure and training opportunities
• Participation in joint grant and competitive research programs
The agreements were signed on February 27, 2026, in Willemstad, Curaçao, with representatives from both partner institutions. These collaborations aim to strengthen academic ties, encourage knowledge exchange, and support innovative research initiatives among the participating universities.
