On September 30, 2025, the Faculty of Medicine of Jalal-Abad International University (JAIU) actively joined the celebration of World Heart Day — a global initiative aimed at prevention and reducing mortality from cardiovascular diseases.
JAIU students and faculty members organized a large-scale awareness and diagnostic campaign for the residents of Jalal-Abad region and the city of Manas. Free health checks were available for all participants, including:
- blood pressure measurement,
- pulse rate monitoring,
- oxygen saturation (SpO₂) check.
Faculty from the Department of Clinical Disciplines provided consultations and gave individual recommendations on healthy lifestyle, balanced nutrition, and the importance of quitting smoking and alcohol abuse.
Such initiatives reflect JAIU’s mission — not only to prepare highly qualified specialists, but also to contribute to public health preservation and the promotion of a culture of prevention.
