At the initiative of Jalal-Abad International University, a medical and preventive health campaign dedicated to World Heart Day was held to promote public health and prevent cardiovascular diseases.
The campaign was organized at a high level and attracted more than 200 residents and visitors of the city. Participants received free medical screenings, including:
- measurement of blood pressure and pulse;
- blood glucose testing;
- blood type and Rh factor determination;
- measurement of blood oxygen saturation;
- body weight assessment and other anthropometric measurements.
During the campaign, the university’s experienced medical professionals and faculty members provided free consultations to the public:
- General Practitioner A. Aramzhanov;
- Cardiologist A.B. Arzykulova;
- Endocrinologist A. Taanyshbekova;
- Neurologist A. Kazybekov;
- Obstetrician-Gynecologist M. Murzabaeva.
The specialists examined the participants and provided individualized recommendations based on their health indicators. They also offered guidance on the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus and other chronic conditions, as well as on healthy nutrition, physical activity and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Scientific research activities were also carried out as part of the event, including participant surveys and anthropometric measurements. The collected data will be used to analyze public health indicators and prepare scientific articles.
The campaign also served as an important practical learning opportunity for students. Working alongside medical professionals and faculty members, the students gained valuable experience in communicating directly with the public, measuring health indicators, assisting during patient consultations and providing preventive health education. Thus, the event successfully combined science, education and medical practice.
Participants emphasized the importance of the campaign and expressed their sincere gratitude to the university administration, medical professionals, faculty members, organizers and students.
