On June 29, 2026, as part of an international collaboration between Jalal-Abad International University (JAIU), Shifa Max University Clinic, and Marengo Asia Hospitals, one of India’s leading healthcare networks, renowned Indian transplant surgeon Dr. Punit Singla visited the region. Dr. Singla serves as the Clinical Program Director for Liver Transplantation and HPB Surgery and brings more than 25 years of professional experience in the field.
During his visit to Shifa Max University Clinic (Manas), Dr. Singla provided free consultations to patients suffering from liver diseases, cirrhosis, liver failure, and liver tumors, as well as to patients requiring liver transplantation. Local residents had the opportunity to receive medical examinations, expert consultations, and treatment recommendations from a world-class specialist without having to travel abroad.
JAIU continues to strengthen and expand its cooperation with leading international medical institutions, creating new opportunities for students, faculty members, physicians, and patients. These initiatives also contribute to the advancement of modern healthcare services and the development of the healthcare system in the Kyrgyz Republic.
