Student Chess Tournament Launched at the University

On May 20, the university hosted the official opening of a student chess tournament. The competition brings together students from various academic years and study groups.

The tournament is organized to develop students’ intellectual potential, promote chess, and foster strategic and analytical thinking skills. Participants have shown strong interest in intellectual sports and are actively engaged in the competition.

The opening ceremony featured speeches by the Rector of JAIU, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor Mirsadyk Rakhimberdievich Narbaev, members of the university administration, and the tournament organizers. In their remarks, they emphasized the importance of chess as an effective tool for developing logical thinking, concentration, and decision-making skills.

During the tournament, participants demonstrate a high level of preparation, strong logical thinking, and competitive discipline. The competition will continue until May 27.

Such events contribute to strengthening the intellectual environment of the university, enhancing students’ extracurricular engagement, and creating conditions for their comprehensive development.
