About the Department
In 2024, the Medical Faculty was established at Jalal-Abad International University, which, according to Protocol No. 2 of the Founding Council dated August 26, 2024, included two departments: the Department of General Medical Disciplines and the Department of Humanities and Natural Sciences.
The Department of Humanities and Natural Sciences was created to provide students with fundamental training in the fields of humanities and natural sciences. Since its foundation, the department has become an important structural unit of the university, uniting specialists in philosophy, history, languages, biology, chemistry, and physics.
In the 2025–26 academic year, Aisha Orozbaevna Kalmuratova, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, was appointed Head of the Department.
The department trains specialists in the field 710100 – "Informatics and Computer Engineering" with the profile "Automated Information Processing and Management Systems" (Bachelor's degree).
The department teaches: philosophy, history, state, official and English languages, biology, chemistry, physics and other disciplines.
To ensure high-quality education for students and the training of worthy specialists, the department is fully equipped with modern technical equipment. All classrooms are equipped with LED screens, projectors, as well as two computer labs and two laboratories prepared for the educational process. The material and technical base of the department is 98% equipped.

Activities and Achievements
The department's team brings together experienced lecturers and young scientists who actively participate in educational and research projects.
The department's lecturers actively publish in scientific journals, develop educational and methodological manuals, and participate in conferences at various levels. They have published more than 50 educational and methodological manuals, more than 60 instructional guides, and about 100 scientific articles.
The department regularly holds open classes and has organized clubs: "Kyl Mergen" (archery), "Step by Step" (Russian language), "I am learning the Kyrgyz language", "English with Enthusiasm", "Journey through the Historical Places of Kyrgyzstan".
September 23 was marked as the Day of the State (Kyrgyz) Language. The event took the form of a concert program "The Kyrgyz Language - for us its significance is as high as the peaks of the Alatau, always remain elevated."
Lecturer Cholponay Umurkulova won a prize at the World Cup in Ulsan (Republic of Korea) and received a first-degree diploma at the archery competitions dedicated to the 100th anniversary of T. Zulpuev.
On November 10, 2025, the 1st Student Conference "Perspectives in Medicine: XXI Century" was held.
