Foundation and Formation
In 2024, the Medical Faculty was opened at Jalal-Abad International University, which, according to Protocol No. 2 of the Founding Council dated August 26, 2024, included two departments: the Department of General Medical Disciplines and the Department of Humanities and Natural Sciences.
The Department of Humanities and Natural Sciences was established to provide students with fundamental training in the fields of humanities and natural sciences.
Since its foundation, the department has become an important structural unit of the university, uniting specialists in the fields of philosophy, history, languages, biology, chemistry, and physics.
The department was headed by Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Asilova Zulfiya Atamyrzaeyvna. She not only laid the foundation for its scientific and pedagogical activities but also united a team of like-minded people and outlined the key vectors of educational and methodological work.
The department trains specialists in the field 710100 – "Informatics and Computer Engineering" with a profile in "Automated Information Processing and Management Systems" (Bachelor's degree).
Today, the department is a dynamically developing scientific and educational unit. It provides teaching for a wide range of disciplines: philosophy, history, state, official and English languages, biology, chemistry, physics, and others.
To provide students with quality education and train qualified specialists, the department is fully equipped with modern technical equipment. All classrooms are equipped with LED screens and projectors, and two computer classrooms have been prepared for the educational process. The material and technical base of the department is 98% equipped.

Activities and Achievements of the Department of "Humanities and Natural Sciences"
The department's team brings together experienced teachers and young scientists who actively participate in educational and research projects.
Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Aisha Orozbaeyvna Kalmuratova successfully defended her candidate's dissertation in 2009.
Among the department's teachers, N.T. Akkulueva, I.Zh. Atybaeva, M.U. Azimova, and A.A. Sheripbaeva are studying in part-time postgraduate studies and are preparing their scientific works for defense.
Currently, a total of 21 teachers work at the department, of which:
14 are full-time;
7 are part-time.

The department's teachers are not limited to conducting classes only; they also undergo internships abroad and actively work on improving their professional qualifications and scientific level.
The teaching staff of the department actively publishes in scientific journals, develops teaching aids, and participates in conferences at various levels. They have published more than 50 teaching aids, more than 60 teaching guides, and about 100 scientific articles.
Asilova Zulfiya Atamyrzaeyvna is working on her doctoral dissertation on the topic: "Geomechanical Substantiation of Geotechnical Systems in the Development of Highland Deposits". Scientific consultant: D.Phys.-Math.Sc., Professor Usenov K.Zh.

Educational, Methodological and Organizational Activities of the Department
Conducting open classes by senior lecturers of the department K.A. Usubalieva and N.T. Akkulueva.
Works on educational and organizational activities of the department are aimed at developing student self-government, as well as activating the educational process.
Department Clubs
- in physical education – "Kyl Mergen" (archery club);
- in language disciplines – "Step by Step", "I am learning the Kyrgyz language";
- in history – "Journey through the Historical Places of Kyrgyzstan".
Department Events
September 23 marked the Day of the State (Kyrgyz) Language. The event was organized in the form of a concert program called "The Kyrgyz Language - For Us Its Significance is as High as the Peaks of Alatau, Always Remain Exalted".
09/26/2025 - Ceremony of meeting the delegation from the educational institution "Aylim" from the Andijan region of Uzbekistan.
October 5, 2023, marked World Teachers' Day. The event organized by the department and the festive dinner for teachers were highly appreciated.
Umurkulova Cholponai from October 31 to November 5, 2025, participated in the World Cup in Ulsan, Republic of Korea, and won a prize.
On November 8, 2025, at the women's archery competitions dedicated to the 100th anniversary of T. Zulpueva, she was awarded a 1st degree diploma.
Our students actively participate in inter-university games, competitions, conferences, and seminars, always winning prizes, glorifying the name of the university.
On November 10, 2025, the 1st Student Conference dedicated to the Day of Science in Kyrgyzstan – "Prospects in Medicine: XXI Century" was held. The teaching staff of the department actively supervises the scientific activities of students. As a result, the number of student scientific publications is increasing, their performances at conferences are successful, and they achieve high results.
