In 2024, the Medical Faculty was opened at Jalal-Abad International University. According to Protocol No. 2 of the Founders’ Council dated August 26, 2024, it included two departments: the Department of General Medical Disciplines and the Department of Humanities and Natural Sciences. The Department of Humanities and Natural Sciences was established to provide students with fundamental training in the humanities and natural sciences. Since its inception, the department has become an important structural unit of the university, bringing together specialists in philosophy, history, languages, biology, chemistry, and physics. The department was initially headed by Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Asilova Zulfiya Atamyrzaevna. She not only laid the foundation for the department’s academic activities but also united a team of like-minded educators and outlined the key directions for educational and methodological work. The department trains specialists in the field 710100 – “Informatics and Computer Engineering,” specializing in “Automated Information Processing and Control Systems” (Bachelor’s program). Today, the department is a dynamically developing academic and educational unit. It teaches a wide range of disciplines: philosophy, history, state, official and English languages, biology, chemistry, physics, and others. To ensure high-quality education and prepare qualified specialists, the department is fully equipped with modern technical facilities. All classrooms have LED screens and projectors, and two computer labs are available for training. The department’s material and technical base is 98% complete.
