Faculty of Medicine of Jalal-Abad International University (JAIU)
The Department of Clinical Disciplines is a key division of the Faculty of Medicine at Jalal-Abad International University. It encompasses key areas of clinical medicine and plays a crucial role in developing the professional competencies of future physicians.
History of the Department
Initially, training was conducted in the Department of General Medical Disciplines, where students studied anatomy, biology, therapy, pediatrics and other basic sciences.
As the faculty expanded and the number of students increased, the need for in-depth training in clinical areas arose. Therefore, by Order No. 83 of August 30, 2025, two independent departments were established within the Faculty of Medicine:
- Department of Morphological Disciplines;
- Department of Clinical Disciplines.
The creation of the Department of Clinical Disciplines was an important step in the development of practice-oriented education and bringing students closer to real medical practice.
Department ManagementThe Department of Clinical Disciplines is headed by Candidate of Medical Sciences Nurgul Adylgazievna Sadyrova, an experienced teacher and organizer, author of scientific publications and participant in international conferences.
Under her leadership, the department actively develops modern approaches to teaching, implements the principles of evidence-based medicine, and adheres to international educational standards.

- Propaedeutics of therapy - an introduction to therapy, familiarization with examination methods and clinical thinking.

- General Surgery — basic principles of surgical care, antiseptics, and operative techniques.
- Neurology and Neurosurgery — study of diseases of the nervous system, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Hematology — fundamentals of blood diseases and hematopoietic organs.
- Endocrinology — study of diseases of the endocrine glands and metabolism.
- Dentistry — basics of oral care and prevention of dental diseases.
- Obstetrics and Gynecology — study of women’s health and the reproductive system.
- Patient Care — practical skills in nursing, patient care, and monitoring.
- Ophthalmology — diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases.
- Propaedeutics of Surgery — preparation of students for mastering basic surgical skills.
- Physiotherapy — use of physical factors in the prevention and treatment of diseases.
- Pharmacology — fundamentals of drug action, their dosages, and interactions.

Educational, Methodological, and Scientific Activities
The Department of Clinical Disciplines actively implements interactive teaching methods: clinical case discussions, simulation training, bedside teaching, and scientific discussions.
The department’s instructors pay special attention to developing students’ clinical thinking, communication with patients, and medical ethics. Scientific conferences, student clubs, and practical workshops are held regularly.

Department Prospects

In the coming years, plans include developing a simulation center, organizing international internships for students, and implementing electronic clinical simulators.
