Introduction

As part of its long-term strategy to enhance global academic integration and student mobility, Jalal-Abad International University (JAIU) is actively developing Double Degree and Joint Degree Programs with internationally recognized partner universities.

These programs are currently in the planning and preparation stage, reflecting the university’s commitment to providing world-class educational opportunities for students in medical and health-related fields.

While the degree collaborations are not yet finalized, JAIU is laying the institutional foundation, conducting academic mapping, and engaging in discussions with potential partner universities to ensure successful implementation in the future.

Vision and Objectives

The Double and Joint Degree initiatives aim to:

  • Expand international academic opportunities for JAIU students.

  • Enhance student competitiveness through internationally recognized qualifications.
  • Promote joint teaching, collaborative research, and cross-institutional learning.
  • Align JAIU’s medical programs with global standards of medical education.

Program Overview

  • Receive two separate diplomas — one from each institution.
  • Benefit from exposure to diverse academic environments, clinical practice, and research methodologies.
  • Increase employability and achieve stronger global recognition.

2. Joint Degree Programs

A Joint Degree Program allows students to:

  • Study a co-developed curriculum delivered jointly by JAIU and a partner university.
  • Receive one jointly awarded degree officially recognized by both institutions.
  • Participate in integrated academic modules, shared teaching, and co-supervised clinical training.
  • Engage in structured mobility periods abroad with seamless credit transfer.
