JAIU Medical Students Complete Enriching Academic Mobility Exchange at Osh International Medical University
In a testament to the strengthening bonds between Kyrgyzstan's premier medical institutions, a group of eight dedicated medical students from Jalal-Abad International University (JAIU) recently concluded a week-long academic mobility program at Osh International Medical University (OIMU). Held from October 5 to 10, 2025, the exchange provided participants with invaluable hands-on experience in clinical rotations and practical training, advancing cross-regional collaboration in healthcare education.
The visiting cohort from JAIU's Medical Faculty included: Naaz Tahsi and Amin Salim from Group 1-22; Md. Ahmed Zubair and Nouman Abbas from Group 1-22; Srivastava Abhishek and Mohammed Hanif Pasha from Group 1-23; Habib Ullah from Group 1-23; and Shewalkar Pratiksha from Group 1-21. These students, hailing from diverse international backgrounds, engaged in specialized sessions focusing on diagnostic techniques, patient management, and interdisciplinary case studies, tailored to Kyrgyzstan's evolving medical landscape.
JAIU, a multicultural beacon in Jalal-Abad, continues to prioritize global exposure for its students, drawing talent from India, Pakistan, Nepal, and other nations to foster a workforce equipped for worldwide health challenges. This program exemplifies JAIU's dedication to practical, borderless learning environments that bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world application.
During the exchange, JAIU students rotated through OIMU's state-of-the-art clinical facilities, gaining insights into areas like emergency medicine and community health—critical for addressing regional needs in Central Asia. The program not only honed clinical skills but also promoted cultural exchange, with participants sharing perspectives on global health disparities.
The initiative reflects Kyrgyzstan's broader push toward integrated higher education, where inter-university partnerships enhance quality and accessibility amid growing demands for skilled medical professionals.
